Terms of service

1. Who we are

yuanatelier.com is operated by Pax Sinica Publishing Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong (Company No. 2754930, Business Registration No. 69967217), trading as Yuan Atelier ("we", "us"). Our registered address is Flat 14, 29/F, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2–16 Fa Yuen Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. You can reach us at annie@yuanatelier.com.

By placing an order or using this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Shipping Policy, Returns and Alterations Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. Our pieces

Every piece is made to measure from naturally dyed fabric. Colour, texture and pattern vary from length to length and from the photographs on this site. These variations are part of the fabric and are not faults.

Each design is made in a limited run. We may stop offering a piece at any time.

3. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email to confirm your order. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if a piece is no longer available, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot make the piece to your measurements.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are set in US dollars (USD). If you shop from outside the United States, prices may be shown and charged in your local currency, converted at the current exchange rate. Shipping is shown at checkout. For orders shipped outside mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, import duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so there is nothing more to pay on delivery. Payment is taken in full when you order.

5. Your measurements

We make your piece from the measurements and photos you send us. We check every set and will contact you if anything looks unusual. You are responsible for the accuracy of the measurements you give us. Fit adjustments are covered by our Returns and Alterations Policy and Lifetime Guarantee.

6. Making and delivery

Production takes about four weeks from the day your measurements are confirmed. Delivery times are estimates, and we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs or events beyond our control. Risk in the piece passes to you on delivery.

7. Cancellations, returns and alterations

You may cancel for a full refund before your measurements are confirmed and your fabric is cut. Because each piece is made only for you, we do not accept returns for a change of mind after that. Alterations, faults and our Lifetime Guarantee are set out in our Returns and Alterations Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

8. Lifetime guarantee

The guarantee applies to the original owner and covers changes in fit and everyday wear. It does not cover loss, or damage from misuse, accidents or improper cleaning. Where the original fabric is no longer available, repairs will use the closest match from our archive or a contrast agreed with you.

9. Intellectual property

All designs, photographs, text and illustrations on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Privacy

We use your measurements and photos only to make and fit your piece. See our Privacy Policy for details.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections given to you by the law of your country.
